About SolRua Wellbeing

SolRua Wellbeing has grown from a long-standing interest in how people navigate change, belonging, and connection across the different landscapes of their lives.

My work sits in the shared space of wellbeing, belonging, and resilience through life’s transitions, supporting individuals, educators, leaders, and communities as they move through change, complexity, and uncertainty.

Across my professional journey, including social work, policing education, social policy, higher education, and international education, there has been a consistent thread: a focus on people, relationships, and how we are supported within the systems we live and work in.

Living and working across cultures for many years has also shaped my understanding of how deeply context matters, especially when it comes to identity, belonging, and wellbeing.

In more recent years, this focus has become more intentional and centred on wellbeing, resilience, and reflective practice in education and international communities, which led to the creation of SolRua Wellbeing.

Rather than working from fixed answers, I tend to work in a relational way, creating spaces where people can slow down, reflect, and make sense of their experiences in ways that feel grounded, human, and respectful.

My Background

My background is rooted in international education and social sciences, with many years spent working in CIS and IB World Schools as a teacher, IB Diploma Programme educator (including Theory of Knowledge), curriculum contributor, and member of school leadership teams.

This includes experience in teaching, curriculum development, and whole-school collaboration within complex international environments.

This foundation continues to inform my work today, particularly in relation to wellbeing, leadership, and organizational culture.

A shift toward wellbeing

In recent years, my work has become more intentionally focused on wellbeing, resilience, and reflective practice in education and international contexts.

Alongside professional experience, lived experience of relocation, caregiving, leadership, and cancer has deepened my understanding of how important it is to support the human side of work and life.

Over time, I have worked with expatriate communities and organizations in Singapore, facilitating workshops focused on strengths, values, and transition. These experiences continue to shape how I hold space for reflection and growth.

How I work

My work is grounded in creating spaces of trust, kindness, and psychological safety, where people can reflect, reconnect with their strengths, and explore what matters most to them.

I work in a strengths-based and values-led way, drawing on reflective practice, positive psychology, systems thinking, and resilience approaches.

People often describe these spaces as calm and supportive where there is space to think, be heard, and gain clarity.

If something here resonates, I’m always open to a conversation and seeing what feels like a natural fit.
