About SolRua Wellbeing
SolRua Wellbeing supports expatriates, individuals, educators, international school communities, carers, organizations and leaders to cultivate resilience, wellbeing, and a growth-oriented mindset.
Life can feel uncertain during times of transition, relocation, leadership responsibility, caregiving, or personal change. My work creates reflective, safe, and grounded spaces where individuals and organizations can pause, reconnect with their strengths and values, and take intentional steps toward sustainable growth.
Across decades of living, teaching, and working in diverse countries and cultures, I have learned the subtle rhythms of transition and the quiet ways people find their footing in new landscapes. This understanding informs how I create spaces where reflection, curiosity, and thoughtful growth can naturally unfold, supporting people as they navigate change with clarity and care.
My Background in International Education
I have spent many years working in CIS and IB-accredited international schools, serving as a teacher, IB Diploma Programme educator (including Theory of Knowledge), curriculum contributor, and member of school leadership teams.
My experience spans teaching, curriculum development, facilities planning, and whole-school collaboration within complex, high-performing international environments. I understand the demands of accreditation, strategic growth, leadership, and the cultural dynamics of international school communities.
This professional foundation shapes my current work and informs the way I approach wellbeing and resilience in organizations.
Evolution into Wellbeing & Resilience
In recent years, my focus has shifted intentionally toward wellbeing education and resilience practice. Personal and professional transitions, including leadership roles, relocation, caregiving, and surviving cancer, deepened my commitment to supporting the human dimension of international life.
Over the past three years, I have worked with expatriate communities and women’s organizations in Singapore, facilitating workshops centred on strengths, values, resilience, and growth. These experiences highlighted the importance of supporting individuals within their unique cultural and organizational contexts.
Three Pathways of Work
SolRua Wellbeing offers tailored workshops and consultancy along three pathways:
1. Wellbeing for International Schools & Educators
Supporting all educators, including teachers and leadership teams, in CIS and IB World Schools to build staff resilience and sustainable whole-school wellbeing cultures. This approach reflects CIS and IBO accreditation standards on wellbeing, while addressing the unique pressures faced by internationally mobile faculty and remaining sensitive to the complex dynamics of the school community’s wellbeing ecosystem.
2. Wellbeing for Expats & Individuals in Transition
Supporting expatriates in transition navigating relocation, identity shifts, and life transitions. Workshops focus on adjustment, strengths awareness, personal resilience, and intentional goal setting for thriving in new contexts.
3. Wellbeing for Carers
Dedicated spaces for carers balancing caregiving with work, mobility, or family responsibilities. Workshops cultivate emotional sustainability, self-compassion, and strength-based growth, helping carers flourish alongside their vital roles.
My Approach
My workshops and experiences are designed to be thoughtful, evidence-informed, and responsive to the communities I work with. Each program is grounded in careful consideration of context, ensuring that what we explore is relevant, timely, and meaningful for participants.
I draw on applied positive psychology, systems thinking, organizational learning, liberating structures, appreciative inquiry, workplace resilience training, reflective dialogue, and the restorative power of nature, creating spaces where reflection, curiosity, and growth can unfold naturally.
Every session is informed by research, experience, and attention to the specific needs of individuals and organizations, helping to foster lasting wellbeing and a culture of resilience.
